Random news articles from the RSS feed:

Idaho hunter takes 180-pound wolf, via The Oudoor Pressroom. Head and skin to the left, from an image by Shawn Gust for the Coeur d'Alene Press.

Sea Wolves are not Sea Dogs, by Heather Houlahan over at her Raised by Wolves blog: hands down the best thing I expect to read on the trainer-killed-by-orca tragedy.

As they say, read it and weep.

Mighty Nimrod "estimates" the wolf at 180.

As a commenter noted, with men, it's the same way that eight turns out to be four.

"It might be the only one I ever see," he said.

Lovely. For sure nobody else will ever get to see it.

A 180 pound wolf? Sounds pretty dire to me. Just goes to show you that you don't need all those pesky endangered species acts -- hunters in Idaho are killing wolves that have been extinct for 10,000 years.
