A good friend of mine works in wildlife rehabilitation. The first time I went up to visit their place, her husband took me canoeing. While we were out in the middle of the lake, this huge animal (OK, it looked huge in that context) swam up to the canoe -- and hopped in.
It was one of the wild otters they had raised as a pup and released near their remote home. He was a lovely and charming thing - but those teeth! Yikes - think Border Collie with Wolf dentition!
