I'm just saying. The truth is, I need another dog like I need a third nostril.
He's about four months old and plain as a mud fence. Brindle.

This one's a little better:
I'm guessing he's part pit bull and maybe part German shepherd. He keeps his eyes on you and looks you full in the face, like this:
And his feet are sore and he's on meds for a cough. I don't think he's ever been on a leash. [My collies had scarcely been on leashes either, at his age — but that's different.]
So anyhow, he was picked up by animal control on January 13,
Edited to add: Did I mention he's extremely vocal? Little whines and woo-woos and yodels. Plott mix, maybe? That would be incredibly cool.

[sing-song voice]: Luisa's getting another dog! Luisa's getting another dog!
I think he's beautiful but I'm a sucker for both brindle and black masks and here they are together.
He might be wormy, just a guess based on his shape.
Looks like he's part BC to me lol....maybe Boxer or Dane x Lab? Maybe some bully dog in there somewhere :>)
Whatcha gonna name him?
mastiff!
oh for heavens sake, go get him.
how can you resist that face?
Do if for all of us out here fighting to save the might be could be`s ....
never mind breed mix..he`s a dog to love.
I vote mastiff and if you wanted a not-so-heavy dog, think again. As soon as you're able, go get him please. I like his white toes, and that he holds his ears like Lily. yer sis... trying to be anonymous
[waves at sis, Lily, Tad] Hold good thoughts that the meds work on what's ailing him. Shelter won't be open until Wednesday...
I just rescued an italian greyhound/jack russell mix a few weeks back and in the first 5 months of her life she was thought to had never walked on a leash. I can relate what you are up against.
I can't decide what we should name him. I'm thinking Pie. OK, I'm not brilliant with names.
Looks like Toast to me, but that sounds lousy shouted.
I like Smoky.
Also: the importance of the shout test cannot be overstated.
A hard consonant followed by a 'y' seems to work best.
My Monty always heard his name. Yes, he was named after Field Marshall Montgomery, since you ask :>)
I'm a sucker for the "plain" brindle dog so I don't think he's ugly at all. I think you definitely need to bring him home :)
This is my dog! He was shipped up to Rhode island and adopted by my fiancé and I , his name is now Blue and he's the most well behaved beautiful dog. So gentle and calm , yet so playful and fun!
